With intermodal transport we move goods using containers, which are brought to their destination throught several means of transport.
\nThese particular containers, can be loaded and transported by road, ship, train or plane.
\nThus, intermodal, or multimodal transport becomes the result of the synergy between several types of transport, where goods are never really ‘handled’ and always remain inside the same container thoughout the whole journey.
\nThe objective is certainly to reduce road transport, optimise costs and reduce CO2 emissions by over 50%.
